POWA POINT

Thanks to everybody who came out to see "My First PowerPoint: A Dr. McNinja Presentation" at the Cumberland Library, especially those of you who came in from so far out of town! I really appreciate it, and I hope we all had an entertaining and informative time.

On an unrelated topic, maaaaan.... any time animators enter into webcomics, it just makes me feel embarrassed. But in a good way? Like "Oh my goodness I've stumbled into an embarrassing amount of money."

Dr. McNinja in Cumberland, MD June 28th, 2:00pm

As I think most of you know, Dr. McNinja is from the fictional version of the very real town of Cumberland, MD. Well on June 28th, I am traveling there to give a presentation on all things McNinja at the Washington Street Library. Yes, Washington Street. The library is right across the street from the building that houses the Zombie Defense System.

So if you live anywhere nearby, come join me! It's part of the library's summer teen reading program, and I think it will be excellent. Here it is on Google Maps. June 28th, 2 pm.

SUMMER MEANS SHORTS... for the POST MAN.

Hello friends and children. If you haven't yet, it's time to get on the stick in regards to the internet's number one best comic (CITATION NEEDED), Scary Go Round. It's returned from a two week holiday, and is back with a story made for YOU.

I understand that a comic with such an enormous history and archive might be daunting to a new reader, but don't you worry your pretty little head about it. You can just jump right in on this week's story and know that it is about an English boy who is fired from his English job and becomes and English mailman. An English mailman! Can you imagine such a thing! And so far it's only been getting funnier with each page. Go on then!

Amazing and practical fan art

I just got THIS in the mail. Yes that's right. Possessed flying Dr. McNinja hand etched onto a pint glass. So cool. Thank you very much to Amanda Siska of Bread and Badger. Amanda didn't do this for a plug, but dammit I am going to just plug away just because I like it so much. There are lots of hand etched glass items waiting to class up your home, so check it out.

CONVENTION GNUSE

Kent is going to be at Heroes Con in Charlotte June 20th-22nd. He'll have Dr. McNinja books as well as an exclusive print colored by Carly Monardo.

I'll be at San Diego Comic Con this year, my only west coast appearance, and I'll have more details on that later.

New Interview

Hey ya'all, I did an interview with ComicMix, and it has been posted. I think you're going to like this one! I do a decent amount of interviews for a fellow who isn't on television, and a lot of them ask a few fairly similar questions, but not this one! Pretty neat if you want a bit more insight in what goes on here at McNinjaHQ.

Little Carly Monardo

The talented young lady behind the Dr. McNinja poster, and cover to Vol 2 is looking for some freelance work and commissions in between her stints as color artist on the Venture Bros. Here is her website, or just watch this PSA that Rene Engstrom made.

PS: Rene's comic, Anders Loves Maria is pretty great, but don't go clicking if you are under 18.
